When the Covid-19 pandemic began, life got rough for restauranteurs and bartenders. Morgan McKinney was laid off with the rest of her bar staff in early March 2020, but that didn't stop her from wanting to share cocktails with the world. Best Shot Co. became her answer to drinkers who suddenly found themselves imbibing at home—by bringing the neighborhood bar right into their living room.
Morgan created Best Shot Co. because she believes that anyone can make great cocktails, not just professional bartenders. Monthly Pour & Lore virtual cocktail classes are designed to teach both experinced and beginner cocktail enthusiasts how to mix their favorite drinks.
Morgan is passionate about bringing community and compassion to happy hours around the world. Best Shot Co. has collaborated with corporate clients around the United States, Canada, and the UK to unify corporations with their employees and customers over cocktails, history, and a damn good time.
Morgan is a Memphis native who has always had a great love of food and writing. She started working as a bartender in 2012 where she discovered a passion for the hospitality industry, great drinks, and serving others. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Memphis.
Morgan is currently the Bar Program Director at Acre Restaraunt in Memphis.
Here at Best Shot Co, she is the Head Cocktail Nerd in charge of writing and teaching all virtual cocktail classes. In her free time, she is casual boozehound with a particular love of Mezcal and Italian wine.
